We all had a wonderful and creative day on Thursday. The ‘Street Art Drop’ and team made a visit and totally transformed our very dull side wall. Take a look and we are sure you will agree. The children also benefited from workshops run by the team leader and his helpers which took place in the hall. The work they produced was amazing and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves - messy but great fun which created a real buzz throughout the school.
The gallery pictures show the work of the first seven children whose work has been chosen for the Legacy board at the heart of the mural.
On Saturday morning the Loudwater netball team were invited to play in a netball tournament against 9 other school teams. It was a fun experience for all of us. We came 9th out of 10 but in March we will try to do better. It was overall very close in every match but most others had a lot more experience than us.
Report by Erin and Maddie.
Thanks to Mrs Merry, Mr Hasyn and all who took part.
The House and Vice Captains paid their respects on Remembrance Sunday by laying a wreath at the War Memorial on Loudwater School’s behalf.
All children, except Years two and six, attended church this week. They walked down to St. Peter’s learning about why we have Remembrance Day. Year Two were on a fun trip to Wycombe Museum and were unable to take part and Year Six had their own visit to the War Memorial. It was a very chilly day but all the children enjoyed the fresh air out of the classroom – a valuable experience.
Thanks to Mr Armstrong for the photograph.
