School Residential 2025

Monday 2nd June 2025:

Year 6 arrived at 2:30 this afternoon and have spent the afternoon unpacking, making beds followed by some free time.

After tonight's dinner we will be playing Archery Tag and will start tomorrow with a walk to Wales.

The next update will appear on the website tomorrow between 7 and 9 'o' clock.
Day 2

Year 6 settled down extremely well last night, ensuring that they all had a decent nights sleep ahead of what has been a busy day today.

We have been pleasantly surprised with how tidy ALL of the room are and have enjoyed seeing everyone help one another, particularly when making their beds for the first time.

This morning we walked to Wales, stopping off at the gates of Chirk Castle for a quick photo opportunity before returning to England via the pathway next to a viaduct.

This afternoon all of the class took part in a number of activities that have included Canoeing, Archery and Fencing before finishing the day around the campfire.

We are looking forward to another action packed day tomorrow.
Day 3

Year 6 have enjoyed another excellent day completing a range of activities including Low Ropes (requiring teamwork to complete an obstacle course), Raft Building and Orienteering.  Once again, every single child has acted superbly, working together brilliantly throughout the day.

We have been extremely fortunate with the weather today and are looking forward to our final full day tomorrow.

Further photos will be added to the website later this evening once everyone has settled down for the night.
Day 4

What a fantastic day!!  The weather here has been l surprisingly lovely, meaning that we have been able to do all of the planned activities.  This morning the groups took part in their final round of activities which included Slacklining, Orienteering and Low Ropes.

After saying goodbye to the instructors from Adventure Plus at lunchtime (they all commented on how well we had done throughout the week) we completed Disc Golf, Hungry Hippos and a Photo Treasure Hunt.

We are now  getting ready to return home tomorrow and aim to leave The Quinta by 10 'o'clock.  A notification of our departure will appear via website updates and also text message so please refer to these throughout the day.

Currently, we are making good time and expect to arrive back at school between 2.10 and 2.30. However, a final update will go out at 1.30 to confirm a more accurate time.

Year 6 are free to be collected as soon as we return to school and can leave at that point.
Friday 6th at 13:32

Year 6 left Warwick Services at 1.15 and are due arrive back at school at 2.20.

The coach will reverse up School Way with all suitcases being unloaded there.

Year 6 are free to be collected and taken home at that point.
